Learning Theories

As teachers, we generally look at learning theories and find positive contributions in many of them. We look at our practice, and decide that we have an “eclectic” approach to teaching and learning, drawing from the various theories. With your team, create a comprehensive theory that encompasses what you believe would serve you “in all seasons”; in other words, that could be universally applied. However you present it (POWERPOINT) please refer by title to the theories you borrow from, to the individuals who created the theory, and to the main points that the theory espouses. Give your reasons for including the elements you decide on into your theory, and explain how the theory would be applied in the classroom. So for my group I was assigned constructivism theory. I teach kindergarten, so it can be based on using it in kindergarten or elementary (any grade). about 3-5 slides
