Black Lives Matter: Social Action
The College of Social Work unequivocally supports the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. In my conversations with the class, some have shared their experiences about engaging with the BLM movement. Social workers are committed to the principles of anti-racism and we must strive for institutions that value the inherent worth of every human being. For those of you who have in the last month or so engaged in BLM related social justice activities, I invite you to share a brief (3 paragraphs) reflection on your experience(s). Discuss what precipitated your desire to action, detail the activities you have engaged in thus far, and reflect on what your action means to you and to the community.
